I really liked the way Matt approaches the hobby: straightforward, honest, down to the point. Many remarks that, in my case, will make me ask the why of my modeling, and be better each time. In fact I have one of those scary kits, and Matt - thanks man - gave me the answer and go for it!

He brought up some good points. Why do so many modelers dislike criticism? It helps us to improve our work. Let's be honest. Do you think that every build is good? How many times have you seen a situation where everyone is praising a subpar model? Is everyone too afraid to hurt someone's feelings? Giving constructive criticism and telling where the modeler made mistakes would be more helpful.
