if your throwing the guitar up and behind you, make sure the chord is in front of you, and if your throwing the other way make sure the chord is behind you

Good! I never spun that way. Always grabbed with right hand and threw clockwise. If you try it, make sure you use more trust or it lands on you.

also if you do this do not forget to have strap locks or the strap will fall off

@blake2112 Kerry King from Slayer, Pat O'Brien from Cannibal Corpse, Erik Rutan form Hate Eternal, Zoltan Bathory form Five Finger Death Punch and even Chuck Schuldiner. They all use B.C. Rich, and I personally consider them pretty damn heavy.
