I used to get great low speed starts with my MRC transformers delayed slow motion control-- throw the switch and just run the throttle up to speed and wait--- the transformers circuit adds power ever so slowly, and the loco just creeps off and picks up speed at a realistic pace. The better the locos motor and drive the smoother it works. It worked the same in stopping, just throttle down and wait for it to come to a slow crawling stop. Worked best with ultra smooth stewart hobbies engine.

Yes, they sure are. They are the CPR 9001 and 9002 number series. I wanna get another one someday,b ut they are getting hard to find due to athearn discountinuing them.
