Tee Lopes paid proper tribute with a Danger on the Dance Floor for Sonic Mania. It’s funny that the S&K mini boos theme was already in Sonic 3, but wasn’t used to cover this up until the S&K cart overwrote it (not counting the Hydrocity Act 2 boss glitch).

Brief history: Michael Jackson wasn’t even the music director for sonic 1 and 2. The other music director felt like he should be paid more and didn’t get the opportunity to direct sonic 3 & knuckles. Also when Jan- Michael Jackson knew this he took the opportunity to direct sonic 3 and knuckles music. And most of the zones (or all of them) was directed by Michael Jackson.
