Ah yes...Moose burgers and Moose Stew...Mmmmm and not to down talk the magnificent time spent in Nature or the wonderful Moose Hunt itself.

I was raised from the early sixties on moose meat and on the very rare occasion,, going to Fairbanks to eat a beef steak was a luxury. This by far and away is the best damn meat anywhere. I have had experiences both good and bad away from the hunting grounds with them. They are incredibly agile in the snow and humans are not! Even if you are trying to chase them off your property,,,,,and then they turn around and chase you!,,,,lol. I've also had a very gentle cow that kept to a game trail off to one corner of the property that was very addicted to apples, and I even managed to hand feed her halves just before we had to move away from that area. I raised horses there and it was a constant challenge to work with them and keep my fences because working against them certainly guaranteed my fences would be down and I would be chasing horses and fixing them. They sure are tasty though! And I have a great crock pot recipe!

Cause the loss of the natural carnivores as bear, wolf, etc. to hunt moose out in the wild, we humans needs to do the hunting to lower the numbers down. I agree with you fully about the hunting term, but I do love mooses! <3
