Welcome everyone who suddenly got this in your recommendations. Hot cocoa is over to your left, the bathroom is to your right, and we forgot the popcorn, but we have some boxes of Count Chocula, cheese curds, and pretzels.

I loved how Billy and Mandy seemed to forget their friend is the one who harvests souls for the afterlife. Mandy doesn't care, having plans for immortality, but poor Billy.

Seeing this again makes me realize something that I didn't as a kid: Billy and Mandy were very lucky Grim fell victim to hubris and pride when they met him and got him to agree to a limbo game for Mr. Snuggles. If that weren't the case and Grim chose not to underestimate a couple of kids, they'd likely end up being friends with Jack O' Lantern with a common thread being ending up with worse lives as a result of trying to cheat death.

Im kind of surprised Grim didn’t use that “loophole” with the kids.

Nobody has anything to say about Endsville existing in the medieval era even though its an American town

Let this be a lesson: no matter how good of a leverage you have on someone, if they have found a loophole in the bargain they WILL use it.

"Yep!" I love how casual he said it, 'I cut a guy's head off! [Eats some candy like its no big deal]' :)

Grim only lost his scythe because Jack tickled his funny bone.

One thing I like about Jack’s backstory is that it does reference Jack Stingy, the reason why Jack-O-Lanterns are a Halloween tradition. Much like Jack, Stingy was a trickster whose restless spirit roamed the earth. Stingy was refused entrance into heaven and hell and we carve Jack-O-Lanterns to ward off his spirit.

Jack pulled pranks with no regard for other people's feelings, and he wanted to become immortal, something people would do ANYTHING for, just so he could keep on pranking, so he honestly had it coming. And he literally lived long enough to see himself become a villain.

Grim losses his scythe more often then Germany loses world wars.

I love the theory the grim in the TV show is actually just playing dumb. In reality he’s training Billy and Mandy for a greater purpose. And the reason he looks so comical is because both Billy and Mandy view death as just a joke.

What’s interesting is that, if you replace grim with the devil and “playing jokes” with being a drunken asshole, this is really close to the actual lore of the Jack o Lantern.

I can't believe Jack was voiced by Wayne Knight.

The fact grim was so casual when he explained how he cut a guy's head off was one of the darkest moment in this show
