Can verify this still works, as long as you purchase a weapon before you prestige and back out to the main menu you should be fine, went from 2nd prestige rank 1 to 14th prestige 50 in two hours this morning.

when i get in the game i killed myself 6time and im host and then back out and prestige then when i go back to main menu i come back to player match and it still shows the same prestige as i was.

I got this and finally got to level 50 after prestiging once and then did this again and got to level 50. I'm not doing this again since it is a long process
