Here in Asia, these carps are highly valued delicacies. A large size carp fetched around 20-30$ in any Asian country.

Fish is not the problem. Not eating them is the problem.

The US has a massive agriculture and home gardening industry. Why can't they just establish a massive agricultural fertilizer industry converting those carp to fertilizer. They do that in Australia to produce a liquid fertilizer product called Charlie Carp. While it stinks a bit, initially, when you use it the smell does abate. If its used in an agricultural setting, that becomes less of a problem. Those fish are a resource utilize the heck out of them to control them?

I just think that people don't understand the chemical reaction between salt, spices, lemon, heat, and the meat from that fish.

Fun fact: This fish is being produced by fishermen in Bangladesh. We are consuming these fishes on our daily basis

So much delicious food jumping into your boat. It doesn't look like a problem at all.

In Pittsburgh, as a youth, we were used to fish in the Monongahela River. We'd catch mostly carp.

The US could easily become a major producer of fish meal for the world poultry industry!
chowfun1976 (17 hours ago)
This can be an endless supply of fish meal for aquaculture.

If the fish is so abundant, why not use it for pet food or fertilizer?
AllanLovezGaming (14 hours ago)
I believe the main reason is because no body knows how to cook properly. They probably only know a few methods of cooking fish, which involves: Frying, boiling or steaming. But they won't know how to properly prepare it with the right ingredients, to actually make it taste good instead of it being bland af.
AlaskanGlitch (8 hours ago)
The Asian Carp may be an issue in the lower-48, but not in Alaska. In Alaska the invasive fish species that is hated the most are the Northern Pike. They are illegally dumped into Alaskan lakes and then get into the rivers and streams. Northern Pike will completely decimate the rainbow trout fry in the entire river system.

Guess we will never go hungry with these fish.
