My guy,get a bic and carefully pop off the wheel and get the flint they’re usually about 5/16” long where as zippo flints are more like 1/8th therefore you put more pressure against the striker

Get a burp tool. When you fill the lighter you need to let any trapped air out of the pipe. Any trapped air will make it run like shit. You can get the tool off of Amazon for a few bucks.

Mine doesn't even emit a flame that big. My mini raw clipper has a bigger flame than it. I regret spending 10 bucks on this metal clipper.

The ones that do not work are not Clipper, they are Chinese fakes of pages like aliexpress. I have one like yours ( aliexpress) and another that I bought while traveling in Spain and the difference between them is quite noticeable. The Spanish does not have the round wheel since Clipper replaced them with the hexagonal ones for the childproofing.
