Compared his first design, I think the redesign is subtle in changes. Like I didn’t even see the difference with the hat. Overall the designs is okay to me, not my fav design in the show. But Viv definitely does not deserve unnecessary hate for it. At least it’s better than the black hair anime protagonist

I've always loved viv's works, obviously it's her show, she's the one who did the work to make the dream a reality but that design was a choice. In my opinion, Lucifer looks far more like a circus clown ring leader than the KING of hell. I don't know why viv is just obsessed with all of her characters wearing top hats, and the hat/crown thing is just a ugly and horrid design.
