Ok so, the casing and such is made in China. The movement, what makes it tick, is made in Japan. They just slapped a chineese made housing with a Japanese movement. Obviously, you wouldn't trust the Chinese with something like a movement, well, because we all know why... Anyways companies do it all the time with Swiss movements. They buy a Swiss movement and the casing will be German or even American

The 100 meter is how water resistant it is. I have a gunmetal silver one. I have a few more models. They are overall good watches. They scratch easy so take care of it and they last.
