the key has a built in keyfob code which communicates with the anti theft, its the chip inside the keyfob that authorizes start. Most new cars now have a push button start and no ignition key hole. The keyfob must be within so many feet of the vehicle to work.

The reason the spoon is working is because the immobilizer on the vehicle is being disengaged once you turn the the key to the ACC position, and as long as you do not turn it back to the locked position you can start it all day without the key being near the vehicle at all, all of the F-series Ford from 1997-2003 will do the same thing if you can find the ignition harness.

As long as the key is close enough the car will start. Leave the key in your house...fay away, and try it. A lot of newer cars with an ignition button instead of a turn switch operate the same way. Get close with the wireless fob, hit the start button, start driving.

It’s because your car has a wireless key you see your car was suppose to come with a push start button that you can put in the ignition and start you car because your key is connected so if you wanted to as long as the key is in your pocket or anywhere in the car you could start the car with your finger but if your key isn’t near the car then it will not start for anything

but i understand it. In The new car its a integrated RFID Chip ( Biometric) that understands with the Key thats got ah RFID Chip too. If you dont got that, u can drive normal 60 Kilometers, but after that, you're car will block everything.
