Hotdog Water's death gets even worse when you realize Scooby's the only one who heard the gunshots because dogs have better hearing than people, hence why Shaggy, Daphne, and Fred don't stop (and Velma only stops because she knows why Scooby turned around)

This show was dark..even though it all turned out fine in the end, the creators had balls to actually kill characters off in a kids show.

To be honest I would say that the death of Cassidy was the darkest moment because of the context. Hotdog died at the end which was right around the time everyone else died. Cassidy's death felt more tragic, because she was only trusted by her allies after her death and she was murdered by her former partner and her ex boyfriend who only realized that he still loved her and that Cassidy was right after she died. Her death was tragic to all those Cassidy fans as well as the gang and quite ironically Ricky as well.

Cassidy's death was the saddest. Ricky being tortured with the cobra venom by his former companion Pericles was the most disturbing. Marcie getting shot was the most violent.

The last episode was incredibly dark. The psychopath parrot turned into an eldritch horror (and had quite the transformation sequence) and murdered almost everyone. The screams of terror made it even worse.

We need to get another scooby doo show like this before we lose Frank Welker. This is the kind of tone this franchise should have more of

Of all Scooby villains, Professor Pericles was the most homicidal!

When Marcie’s death happened at the time I thought “ nova falling of the helicopter that was dark but they don’t have the balls to actually go this fa-“ then the gunshots happened like damn, seriously damn well played to the whole team. You proved me wrong.

"Scooby doo is too childish" according to Mindy Kaling so she turned it less childish by turning the characters black and Asian and removing the reason it's called Scooby Doo in the first place. Also they swear so you know it's not for kids if the fact Scooby Doo isn't a part of it wasn't enough indication

Let's be real, we all knew what #1 was going to be

God this series was so damn good, even the whole thing with hot dog water actually hit hard and same with cassidy

There’s Nothing that beats this list of the most dark moments in Scooby-Doo including Pericles using the robots to kill HotDog Water but also there’s the scene with the Mummy of Friar Serra coming alive and telling the true story behind the sinking of Crystal Cove and saying probably one of the most bone chilling lines “It starts with the animal always the animal Heed the warning of the alligators the dog dies”.

You could hear the hate in hotdog water's murder. Not one or 2 shots but from what I can tell from the messed up gun noise (more hard to hear then the fact they can be heard mind you) that was anywhere between 10 and 12 shots
