Thank you for the constructive and positive information while also being honest and sympathetic. When you said โthe mistakes, we all make a new shrimp keepersโ it really made me emotional because it gives me encouragement to try and not feel discouraged if something goes wrong no matter how hard I try. Iโm an experienced fish keep her and I know this. But for some reason when you try something new, you feel so new to it.

Well done. Words to the wise are well spoken. The explanation of the vital importance of biofilm is critically important to understand.

Subscribed. I find your delivery both measured and factual. I am using your advice as i have just added 18 cherry and 10 orange Sakura to a very heavily planted 10 gallon. They co-exist with chili rasboras. Been two weeks they are out and about. Keep up the great work.

I have mixed results with cherry and ghost shrimp. My biggest success is my one bamboo shrimp. It has molted numerous times and has gotten big.

I feed my shrimp: frozen bloodworms, frozen brine shrimp, multiple fresh leaf vegetables like Spinach, kale, etc, alge wafers, live hatched baby brine shrimp, manufactured little shrimp sticks, mfg. Baby Shrimp food (finely ground shrimp food), Cucumber slices, Zucchini slices, turtle feed/calcium blocks (I break up the large blocks of food made for turtles into smaller pieces. 1 block feeds 4 tanks and last a month) and Bug Bites...

Just starting my journey on shrimp keeping, thanks for all the info. Going to start with shrimp friendly plants for a month before adding neocaridina let the biofilm build and make sure I can keep the water stable seems to be the best

I bought 4 yellow cherry shrimp for my tank. They rarely come out and explore except for one. I think I need to purchase some more of them to make them feel more comfortable. Itโs a planted tank with rocks and wood, and they just huddle up under one piece of wood.
