This is really helpful. I'm getting ready to build 4 8-10 enclosures for 2 retics and 2 burms.

I used "laminated panel board." Panel board is very commonly used as the back of a bookshelf, desk, entertainment center, etc. It is only a 1/4" thick and very lightweight. I used a 'laminated' panel board that incorporates a water resistant coating on one surface. I purchased it for about $20 for a 4x8 sheet.

I followed the instructions no problem except I made a time-out box and put my kid in there.

OMG this will be perfect. Thank you!! I will be adding shapes and steps inside using styrofoam covered in paper mache.

THANKS!!! I'm building my two ball pythons a new cage and this is going to really help! Though I think I'm going to make it so it has a plexiglass front and that can slide in a out so it's easier to clean.

What kind of wood did you use? I have read that pine and cedar are bad for beardies
This is awesome! Love the creativity!

Aren’t you worried about the reptile getting on top of the heat lamp and burning itself I want to in a Guana they got too close to the heat lamp stayed there and got sunburn so now I keep all my heat lamps on the outside of the cage and a certain distance between the lamp and the basking spot

Okay, question: I noticed you put doors on it. No problem there, but my question is: how do you open the mesh?? o.O And like someone else has noticed: watch out with pine wood (toxins), but that can easily be solved by putting a sealant on it. Or by using some other wood. Nice concept, gonna use the basics and work it further out from there. ;) Thank you.

That's really cool. I'm planning to build a large enclosure that can fit perfectly under a twin size mattress. Do you think if I scaled this up it could support a bed if I put a box spring on it? Id think so right?
