Keep the light off if you want to breed them, have some living plants or more to let the female betta to hide turn off the filter and heater (if you didn't know the right temperature ) to let the male making bubble nest,if you find you're bettas more aggressive for about few minutes separate them put the female back and leave the male alone and introduce them back for a few days, keep watch over you're female if she got horizontal line at her body and she really want to chase the male release the female with the male.. Easy tips about the bubble nest, you can use small sized square transparent plastic, float the plastic and let the male bubble nest there so if they start spawning you can see the eggs through. After the spawning take out the female. If you want a community of bettas better take alot of female and have grow more natural plants to help them hiding. The aggression were natural if you can't watch saperate them. Better keeping them with jarring method but make sure to have something to block them seeing each other, alot of flaring in a day will make you're bettas weak. But its important to them to flare minimum 3 minutes a day to keep them stronger even better after feeding them to help them digest.

You'd need at the very least a 15 gallon with plenty of plants and hiding spaces for this to work, plus a couple of tank mates compatable with bettas (dull colored, non aggressive fish). I understand the curiosity, but these fish will be stressed out until one of them dies in this condition. Please think about their comfort and happiness.

I have bettas too, I do in fact have tips for you so they can breed. 1.) Use Indian Almond Leaves, Bettas love yellow for some particular reason. 2.) Use a divider so Henry can slowly come to terms with the female. (I've done this with my bettas and it works smoothly) 3. If you don't want to use a divider you can use a clear plastic container so the male can see the female. 4.) After breeding is done remove your female. The male betta won't attack them once they are removed. 5. if fry hatch remove the male, he'll eat them. (Sidenote Fry can be fed Baby Brine Shrimp. But let it defrost.) Well I hope that helps you out.

Hard to believe you did a lick of research before this great "experiment". That tank is sad enough with 1 betta, 2 is horrific lol.

Bro, please dont knock on the glass... Water is a great medium for vibration and to the fish your sending shockwaves.

You tapping on the window getting them both confused and thrown off is NOT helping, just watch. They know what to do you don’t need to try and direct them

Just for next time it’s important to make sure the male is in breeding condition before you put them together.

What I’ve learned is to get a separate tub with a small piece of bubble wrap and leave the female in a cup for at least 1 day this is because it the process is sped up you could end up with a really stressed fish also they fight when they aren’t properly introduced and I’m not attacking anyone just pointing out a few tips

Firstly you should not even be trying to put ur betta with another betta coz he’s too aggressive we’re my male betta has 5 female guppy’s 2 female betta in he’s tank what I did was I got 5 female guppy’s first it’s was the only way I could get him to eat coz he stopped eating from missing tank mates then I rescued my 2 female Bettas I left them in an big jug for the first 4 days yeah mine did flare up 1 day was really badly caused he’s starting attack my guppy’s they was in one corner of the tank buy day 2 calmed down he’s was not flaring up as much my guppy’s were moving about not getting attack buy day 3 was less interested in my Bettas and the tank was back to normal buy day 4 I let them out yeah there was an little fight but after they got on just fine now and ur tank isn’t set correctly to allow betta to go with another betta you should never have plastic I use real plants as the female betta like to bury them self in them to hide were plastic will cut them so get lots of real plants and hide stuff from them I don’t see how you don’t know this stuff with I’ve only had my fish 2 weeks I researched before I got them and also the fish could be pissy coz if then tank is not temperature correctly hope this helps
