Think I got it, having 20 of 20 successful firings.I used 2 discs(Small pistol), the first disc in the cup powder-side down, the second powder-side up. I figure a metal surface will hit the powder on both sides of the sandwich when the firing pin strikes.

I did this using the red pistol strip caps.

Mercury fulminate is easy to make if one has access to some quicksilver and nitric acid.

Nice.

I was taking apart primers today they seemed to have some kind of paper in them that survived firing. It was shredded but clearly under the anvil.

the prime-all is hit or miss for me at the moment, but i do get about an 80% bang rate, took me about 5 weeks to receive mine
lisacoffey4478 (51 minutes ago)
Be very carefull with the prime all mix only small batches they can hurt you if you don't watch out .very explosive. All you need is a little spark.

Those cap rings don't have any slag to shoot into the powder. Add some powdered aluminum.

Does the orientation of the wafers make a difference? I am at 70% success rate, and wondering if that is the issue. Powder side toward base of cup on all 3, or #1 powder down, #3 powder up, #2 does not matter? Tedious IS the word, but if primers do not come back to market soon, this will be our best solution.

Very cool. How are you cleaning your firearms after using these? Regular cleaning or black powder cleaning method?
MrIronlynnx (18 hours ago)
So have you tried seating the anvil in the cup and then use the press to load multiple primers? Just curious if it creates a problem or different outcome.

are the primers corrosive?
tacticalbacon8064 (20 hours ago)
my question is tannerite for priming compound, its shock sensitive how much so i do not know, can it be milled and mixed with alcohol or acetone and just dropped in with a dropper
