You have done an incredible job with this layout! Everything seems to work together. The track ballasting is truly the best I have yet seen - very clean-cut. As mentionned in one of the previous comments, the "water" is terrific. The scenery in general is fantastic. The townsite looks great - it captures the "home" town feeling. I almost forgot to watch the trains! Wow!

That is an accessory made by Lionel back in 2006. I think you can still get them, but in a different road name than Santa Fe. Thanks for nice comments

@stationmaster12 I used a 2 part epoxy that is used for bar counter tops called "Famowood Glaze coat". I got it at Home Depot. I painted the base first with blue paint and feathered the shoreline with tan. When the epoxy sets up it tends to get bubbles , and can be taken out with a small turch.
