Virgin Suicides is one of my favorite books mostly for the language and beautiful poetry of the sentences. Really taught me how to love the craft of writing, of making something poignant and meaningful but also lyrical and rhythmic.

One of my favorite short books I read is βQuicksandβ by Nella Larsen. A beautiful quick story set in the Harlem Renaissance dealing with this intersectional identity with detailed filled writing.
