Okay so everyone who is getting heated down here, I've now learned Luni encourages these things, so I apologize for being misinformed. Although, I would reccomend not always relying on tracing, but you can in this case with Gacha. Do not trace others artwork, however, without credit. Its wrong and bad. they mean tracing other peoples art. ofc tracing your own characters is fine. they are still real artists. and tracing in general is fine as long as you don't claim it as your own. you can use tracing as a way to learn and improve your art style and eventually after you do it enough you wont need to trace. good artists don't judge other peoples way of learning.

You do realise you can trace your own art and improve it? Some people still want the chibi style yet can’t draw for shit. And have you seen beginner artists comment sections? They get “oh that’s not…” “THE ARM-“ “someday you’ll improve..” which can really impact someone. If I were to trace my own character, my oc. That’s fine. It’s mine, I created it. But if I where to trace your oc (without permission) that would be where the issues lies. Have you seen some speed edits? They use the raw Gacha base, trace it, and create actual art with it

y'all in the comments do realize that tracing gacha is still tracing?? plus tracing in general has been proven to make your art skills worse so don't even TRY to defend it saying its "okay".. real disappointed.

I don’t like the gacha community either but this isn’t the reason to dislike them, tracing OTHER people’s characters is wrong. If you’re worried about the people who drew stuff for the app don’t be, if you’ve seen the popularity of it, it’s clear the artists have attention.
