This is such an interesting idea, really selling how much misogyny impacted Squirrelflight's life (not being taken seriously, being blamed, not being understood)

This almost just feels more like it's pointing out the sexism of Warriors.

generally i don't like genderbends but this really puts into perspective how heavily sexism and misogyny affects pretty much everything in squilf's story that i don't think I would've been able to grasp without it, well done

This is honestly such a beautiful PMV and I love the awareness of sexism. Squirrelflight has been through so much, honestly squirrelflight losing her sister must've been the hardest thing for her, she already lost her father, mother, her kits and her mate is very abusive, I seriously could not imagine losing one of my siblings

Trans man here. Please don't listen to the people telling you that genderbends are transphobic. We know what you were going for and you executed it flawlessly. I'm sure the vast majority of us enjoyed the art and well thought out concept without ever thinking to call you transphobic. Keep your head high and continue the amazing work

As a trans/non binary person, I really don't understand how this is transphobic. Even after several people explained it in the comments, it still doesn't make sense. The main argument seems to be that genderbends imply the existence of only two genders, but this just isn't the case. While yes, gender is a spectrum, genderbends involve taking one end of the spectrum and flipping it to the other. I don't see how this should negatively affect trans/nb people? As genderbends are usually taking a cis character and making them the other cis gender, not trans or non binary. And to the artist: I think you did a wonderful job on this! The concept is neat, and the art is gorgeous! ^^

To the people saying this is transphobic: I’m trans too, and I’m really sorry if this made you feel uncomfortable, but please don’t harass the creator, they had no malicious intent. That doesn’t mean you don’t have a say or that you can’t ask for an apology, I’m just saying maybe don’t harass this person that had no idea that you would feel uncomfortable. I guess that’s just my opinion tho lol, idk

Yo as a transperson, I think genderbends (especially done in a non-fetish way) are totally harmless. This is a really cool concept and fits really wonderfully with squirrelflight!!
