Taught university back in the day. One of our students had a phobia of putting his eye anywhere near the eyepiece of the microscope, I had the exact same frustrated conversation with him, but soon I felt sorry for the dude, such a siilly phobia. Also met a girl who had a terrinble phobia of sprials, classmates made a spiral on a beach when on a field trip, blocked her way off the beach. Another classmate had to put a jacket over her head and escort her over the spiral.
