I am Ben Brenner, a Handwhistler with over fifty five years experience. Other names are Handflute and Handocarina.
I was very fortunate to be invited to be a guest on the Tonight Show in 1979 and again, in 2001 as a member of The Three Tendons. Those videos, along with additional TV Shows are in my uploads.
I blow AIR down the thumb knuckles into my sealed hands and squeeze the palms closer for higher notes or farther away for lower notes.
By using Professional diaphragmatic breathing techniques and by pressurizing the air stream, I produce almost a three octave range of tones complete with an expressive vibrato, articulation and dynamics. ANYONE CAN LEARN THIS SKILL! There are currently around 50 who play on a Professional Level from around the World.
I also sing and play the bassoon, clarinet, piano, tenor sax and recorder. In addition I am a face drummist as well as a professional lip buzzist.
