Thank you for the shout out to the National Park Service! I am always in awe in how much they care for our national treasures and the information they give to guests. Gettysburg was such an indelible memory from when I was a child and how they presented everything.

I once worked up the Peach Orchard and the Wheat Field as a double-blind game, where each side had a separate table where they only saw what they could have seen ( minus powder smoke). --Bob Bailey in Maine, USA

There is so much material to game out from the American Civil War. Wonderful choice for a period to talk about!

I really enjoyed listening to that. I’m an American civil war re-enactor in the American Midwest… which when you think about it is just 1-1 scale wargaming…! Laughter

Enjoyed the update, Lee interesting talk, I must say i'm a member of the battlefields trust, who do everything the can, to preserve our battlefields, and well worth joining. Look forward to the next one

Wargaming is not just tactical play ie kinetic. The elephant in the room in wargaming is the complete absence of planning and operations especially logistics. When you combine this with research, a hypothesis, immersion and analysis you really are wargaming.

I'm biased , but this is one of the best podcasts I have seen

Absolutely fascinating to hear British opinions and thoughts on the civil war, nice to hear an outsider perspective.

Very difficult to follow as an introduction to wargaming for the setting, but it was fun to listen to the three of you talk with such passion about a period I care about in my own nation. Easy sub.
