Outstanding! I found myself having to make tunnels for the mobs, as I live on an island in the middle of lots of ocean. Hooked it up on a skeleton spawner, it's a lifesaver.

I recommend using a closed fence gate instead of a halfslab to prevent baby Zombies getting out! You can still reach them, and the XP can go through it immediately, and you won't have to remove and put back your halfslab.

FOR PEOPLE TRYING THIS IN 1.17: it works!!! i built this yesterday in a new survival world, and it works!! also, while some of the skeletons do get stuck, they eventually all filter in and it works pretty well. also works in bedrock and java! you can't use the gamerule in bedrock, but as long as you give them some swipes every ten minutes or so, you'll be totally fine.

I actually love this build. I'm usually never the one that goes around crafting advanced things in Minecraft, but I found a spawner and decided to take it on. Works like a charm :)

I built it, mine was in a ravine. the water went right up to ground level so buildt a house around it. it works on xbox.
