It's common and accepted practice for bikers to rev a few times when filtering through traffic so drivers know a biker is coming. I cannot believe any experienced driver would think otherwise or even consider filtering to be illegal in the UK. That driver is going to sink his head into his knees until all this blows over I bet. In 1999, in London, I was a pedestrian when a Merc driver who obviously couldn't drive almost ran into me on the pavement. I was angry and shouted into his window. He did the whole 'so what' routine. I swore at him, and he got out of the car and came towards me. I kept hitting him until he turned back and got back in. Not such a huge deal in those days. What has changed now?

Aggressive? No. But having been a rider, driver and professional driver I can say weaving in and out of traffic, especially when at a standstill, really pisses drivers off. Many are startled by overly loud exhaust riders and having a person zip by their windows.

You were not being too aggressive in the slightest, that was deliberate and malicious assault with a motor vehicle. I'd say you under-reacted if anything, but at least you're squeaky clean for handing that footage in to the police. "Filtering is completely legal" - "fuck off"... yes he's clearly a sensible, well educated man.

This is an example of why this is illegal in my area. If the police catch you do doing this so called filtering or weaving through traffic as it's called in my area, you will get pulled over and ticketed. Just because it's legal in your area does not mean it's a good idea.
