I could see a sealed switch lasting longer but so far I have cleaned the switches three times since 1991. That is not bad at all.

Very helpful. Didnt know those needed cleaning. Going to try it out on my starter switch. I’ve ruled out many other things like the colenoid, the starter engine, the fuse, and the battery. Hope it helps!

Thanks man! I would honestly never thought the contacts were corroded! got some sand paper sanded down the contacts and works!

Thanks mate... solved the problem on my 2000 Vulcan 800.. they wanted to charge me 280 fix it . it took me 10 minutes and just a pencil eraser to clean the contacts.
