I'm just a regular guy that loves my family and the outdoors and am willing to do what it takes to protect and provide for my family at all costs....my channel is not one dimensional I am into many different things such as fishing hunting camping vehicle maintenance cooking survival and prepping I am a student of the game just like everyone else so lets learn together.

Hi James. Mikey here from San Pedro, CA. I worked for TABC/Toyota for 16 yrs . I was in charge of one of the stamping lines that made parts for your truck bed. Your truck bed alone requires 114 parts. My job went to Mexico in 2003. I have pictures of my guys on the line during production. We did only the best work. Your truck bed was made with US steel.

For anyone watching this, you have to calibrate the new tps with a feeler gauge and ohm scanner to do this properly

Yes all the Toyota 3.0 guys/owners advance there timing to like 20 degrees advanced because you’ll get a lot more power and drive ability. Your more power experience is from your new property functioning TPS. Every single Toyo 3.0 guy I’ve talked to said they advanced there timing to get a little more power and better running.

i'm battling this same issue with a runner i bought yesterday. Idle is high when coming to a stop and dips down. the previous owner just did a fresh head job and gaskets and did timing as well as waterpump. I suspect they were messing with timing to bring the idle up just to sell. Anyway, you after swapped the TPS, was the idle way off given the timing wasn't to spec? Did you have to readjust timing after the install?
