For me, i am about to graduate from welding school. only have about 5k in debt and i am going back for machining/manufacturing. I had barely any welding exp. before and my school helped me become proficient along with landing me my first welding job from a career fair. So far i don't regret it but i hope things work out for you.

Use your education and certs to join a local union. Unless you love what you’re doing now and it pays well. The time and money has already been spent so my two cents is it’d be best to capitalize on what you’ve already invested into. Good luck bro
