i actually loved seeing tahani end up being fulfilled by her own company and competence. she started the series so obsessed with the idea of having a soulmate, and seemingly unable to be alone with herself despite also often feeling alone when surrounded by people; to me, the complete lack of mention of romance at the end of her arc was a beautiful and subtle way of displaying her character growth over the events of the story. she also started her arc as an out-of-touch socialite with no practical skills, and i love that instead of showing her finding completion through the pseudo-romantic connection she originally wanted, she found it through genuine connections with her friends, reconciliation with her family, and learning how to do literally everything by herself.

The ‘take is sleazy’ is one of the best call backs in the show I love it

My favorite line from the whole show is when they are hiding under the train as the bad place people leave. When the pop up and Michal says "you guys!!! I was so scared for you!" just gets me every time. It was that moment I knew he was truly on their side with everything, no more tricks

This show is so smart, and deeply empathetic, it doesn't look down on viewers, but takes them through the journey along with the characters. Thank you for analysing it

It is so wonderful that the show was on long enough for the characters to complete their redemption arcs. Jason the fool became Jason the monk. Chidi the walking moral delema became at peace with everything. Tahani became truly selfless and giving, and Elanor saved the damned, including the demon Michael.

Walking past a piece of trash on the ground, fully stopping for a couple seconds, then turning around to pick it up is an experience I've had MANY times, and it's all because I thought about this show in that moment. It really made me evaluate the choices I make almost every day, and each time, I try to be a little bit better. I'm not joking when I say this show legitimately changed my outlook on life. We can all be better. Even the desire to be better makes us better, and I've been so much kinder to myself and others since realizing this.

The fact that just listening to the epilogue being talked about makes me nearly cry is an indicator of how amazing and heartbreaking that ending it. One of the best shows I'd ever seen

I watched the ending of The Good Place shortly after my dad passed away. It was such a beautiful and perfect ending. It lead me to some really positive thinking. I'm grateful The Good Place exists in the world we currently live in

this show honestly got me through the pandemic. I was going through a very bad identity crisis, and the show made me realize that maybe, just maybe, I will be okay, no matter what I decide to do with my life, as long as I can continue growing and learning. it's not only a great show, but it's also a fantastic portrayal of what makes humanity so human. flawed, selfish, a bit trash, but still, capable of change and true self-improvement if given the chance.

honestly if micheal had realised that resetting the timeline over and over again would still be a form of hell, he wouldve gotten what he wanted. just by having the humans have just enough memory to experience dejavu and anxiety but not enough to know whats truly happening till Eleanor figures it out, that would still be horrific to experience

i genuinely really think the good place is one of those shows that are a one in a million find. it's a show that genuinely grew. there were good parts that would've been great gimmicks. like the first season set up would've been a great thing that could've been the whole show premise. a group of bad people find out they're actually in hell and they get reset when they find out. but instead of having any consistent stage, they make a journey out of following what it means to die. what it means to live. what it means to be good or bad. what it means to have an afterlife.

I just finished watching this show with friends, I really grew to love these characters, and i feel like they along with this show in general will stay with me for a long time
