A clarification and correction. I am quite pleased that we are getting a live action Grand Inquisitor in Obi-wan Kenobi. However... My point is and the joke is that I find his live-action design not really that great. He looks like a cosplay and not very faithful to the design of the Pau'ans in ROTS or how he was depicted in Rebels. I am looking forward to Obi-wan Kenobi on Disney + though.

The problem is that the Grand Inquisitor is a Pau’an which is the same species as Tion Medon played by Bruce Spence in Revenge of the Sith. In the Revenge of the Sith Tion Medan had the elongated head, so why they haven’t done this for the Grand Inquisitor is the real question? Is it for the same reason as Ashoka’s lekku making the fighting action difficult to do? Or some other reason?

I feel like the Grand Inquisitor looks better in animated form than in live-action form. He looks like someone cosplaying at a convention, which is a common criticism with characters like Ahsoka and Cad Bane looking too fake compared to their animated counterparts.

Bruh at least they could give him yellow eyes, it looks like they didn't even work on the make up.

tbh I prefer Rebels design more....BUT if they keep his character cool and story will be great, then I wont mind him looking worse...although I liked him being all slim, made him more stylish and sinister whenever he was on screen...but hey we saw only few shots from teaser so who knows it might not be as bad in the show, might be the same thing we had with Ahsoka having shorter lekku on her head but look, I pretty much see noone complaining because fk yea we got Ahsoka in live action doing cool spins etc....I am expecting something similiar here

let’s hope they can fix it with CGI before release. i’ve seen fans make quick and easy touch ups on Cad Bane, so i’d imagine a multi-billion dollar studio could come up with something

Honestly I agree, he looks nothing like in Rebels, he looks like some fat guy in cosplay. Why don’t at least make his head accurate (at least the head could be thin and tall not chubby like this). And his eyes aren’t even yellow (maybe it’s bad angle light but still (if he hasn’t got his OG Voice at least they could make him look better). But sadly the Fifth brother has the same problem in this (he looks like some weird frog and is not that terrifying like in the show). I’am glad they are in this show, with even New inquisitors but with all those millions they can’t make them right? In ROTS they make the species so good so why grand inquisitor looks so bad in here? I’am still hyped tho, but I hope they will make something about it.

I have liked every transition from animation to live action, even Cad Bane, but I HATED this one. He doesn’t look like a skinny, intimidating, white demon. He looks more like the Watcher from GoTG 2 and Lobot mixed. They really should have gone with the ROTS look
