I am intrigued. My biggest fear is always over penetration, not under penetration any ways. If I ever had to use my gun is self defense and put three in some ones chest that's exactly where I want them to stay. Its my gift to them, and they can keep em. Honestly I would take a consistant 9-10 penetration any day over a possible over penetration. My main objective is to get them to stop what ever they are doing, not vaporizing some body in one shot. And not killing some one behind them on accident. It also looked like very low recoil on the mag dump. Did they seem to have low felt recoil?? thanks for the great vid!

That was a very good vid. I am amazed this round does anything after passing through a 2X4. Seems to defy my limited knowledge of physics. Thanks for taking the time to test it.

Pretty awesome test, man! You really did a great job. It's always nice to see people testing "weird" or "new" ammo before I can run my own tests and see if the rounds are worth trying out and well, this thing hits pretty hard, the wound channel is really good and to be honest I thought it would not even go throught the 2x4.

This is great, and the hard work paid off! Yeah, it is interesting with most hollow points is that they essentially become ball ammo if they hit drywall or plywood before the intended target. The HST seems really impressive.

Great test considering you could not get any live volunteers on such short notice. One advantage not mentioned is the substantial reduction in carry weight of your loaded weapon. I first saw this when a gun dealer handed me his 1911 magazine fully loaded. The magazine almost felt empty. After your favorable test results I am going to Academy tomorrow to pick up a box of 40 S&W. Also a box of 9MM for my wife and mother as well. Thanks for giving me some confidence in this round.

I carry this round in my .40 Sig and you cleared up a lot of curiosity I had about it.. just seems so weird that it's so low grain.. but it's a light bullet.. so.. Yea you got my sub keep up the great work man

I was happy to see this test done with solid barriers. A bit put out there was no control ammo in .45, but pretty glad to see the round performed as advertised.

The high velocity that is advertised , would make this a good choice for Deer or Hog hunting.

Great job all the way around; with your gel and demo shots. Very good production and angles for the camera. Keep up the good work.

Greetings back from Central Tennessee! No one has done ballistics comparison between ARX and Lehigh defense rounds. It appears that the machined flutes have similar theoretical tissue effects. This would be amazingly instructive. I use the Underwood Extreme Defender in .45 ACP in my 3" 1911 CCW. When I pocket carry in .380 ACP, it's the Underwood Extreme Penetrator +P. Your comments are most welcome!
