What no one is talking about is the damn accurate shot at 300yrds! nice work shooter!

I am a retired police officer from Australia. I investigated a fatal shooting involving .22lr. A male victim was shot in the base of his skull (purely accidental) from a distance of some 350 meters. The coroners report stated the victim was probably killed instantly. Round involved was a .22lr solid. severed the spinal cord. So yes the little .22lr is extremely lethal

People have lived their entire lives underestimating the .22LR. Not me. My dad grew up in the country and he taught us to have a lot of respect for that little round. It's killed more people and animals than most people have any idea.

I own a 22 hand gun, at 40 yards or under the gun is lethal as any gun out there. The kick back is minimal that allows me to get more rounds down range to my Target with more accuracy.

What an eye opener! People are always calling the .22 a joke but it's no joke at all!

It was definitely lethal for the coyote at my farm. Got him this morning right between the eyes at about 70ish yards. Love the .22lr round.

Well done guys. I don't need any additional convincing. A classmate of mine was killed by a .22 LR when I was in the 6th grade. That said, too many people get careless or Cavalier with smaller calibers. This should be a convening demonstration. No one should let their guard down.

It has been said that the 22 long rifle is the most underestimated round of all time. I tend to agree.

Tag a person at 300 yards in the head with this he/she will be down before they knew what happened. .22 LR are deadly in the hands of the right person! Only a fool would say other wise!

my idiot ex- brother in law used to shot his 22 rifle out into our pasture, I had to remind him every time there was an elementary school directly inline and about 3/4 mile over a small rise. he assured me a .22 was harmless over 100 yrds away. did I mention he was an idiot?

Back in the 80's I ran CCI Stinger through my Marlin at various targets. After seeing the results I never doubted the lethality of the .22.

Anyone who doubts the lethality of the .22 doesn't know squat about firearms, ballistics, or anatomy. Typically, big mouths = small brains.
