I agree, especially for the very first mix, it looks too red to have enough Aluminuim in it, and the rxn looked too short for a pile of that size

Some people say that a 3:5::Al:Rust (Rust being Iron III Oxide) is good, but stoiciometrically, the 1:3::Al:Rust mix is the best. So in 100g of a thermite mixture, 25g should be Aluminum, and 75g of Rust. Also, keep in mind it has to be Red Rust (Iron III Oxide), or else the ratios will be different

Well if it says 1 part ketchup and 2 parts mustard then you put whatever quantity of ketchup you want and twice that amount of mustard. That is the basic principle, i just used mustard and ketchup b/c it seemed like a good idea at the time.
