You'll love it. I think that a tall rider will need bar risers. I have them and I'm much shorter than you (5'9"). You may need a different bar bend. I carry two spare plugs but since changing oils and leaning the oil off to the level recommended for the newer bikes it hasn't fouled. Keep the airfilter clean and you're good to go. Much less maintainence than an XR (I had two 630's before this)

Oh, and spare parts are generally cheaper than the honda and I can get them mailorder in a couple of days.

the 300 is about 30 lbs heavier, id estimate. I own one, and like it alot better than the 200, but if you can handle the 200 well, then the 300 wont be much faster. Its got a lot more power and torque in the lower revs though. KTM's are great no matter what you ride, thats for sure.

Well all I can compare it with is an XR630 (I've had two). No it's not, not the 2 stroke one anyway. I've had about 10 days riding now and there is some life left in the back tyre and all I've done is clean the airfilter and put fuel in it. With the 630 I would have put 4 new back tyres on it by now, 4 oil filters, 8-10 litres of oil, plus airfilters and fuel. Probably 8-12 hours work. I know there are people out there who can change a back tyre in 12 seconds, I'm not one of them.

Is that a tach in the middle of your bars? Where did you find it, cuz I'm looking for one for my '99 200exc.

hey mate, i just bought a 2004 ktm 200 exc, and the power is really shit! its obviously not running right, and i think it might be the power valve, do you have any suggestions? id really appreciate your opinion!!!

Im 6 foot and weight about 160lbs, will this bike be sutible coming from a xr200?
