If I'm being honest. Elder Scrolls lore is more of a simple event type of story with a lot of lore and world building. Dark souls is more of a person presenting two philosophies and evidence to back it up. That no matter what choice you make people will suffer and you're still cursed even after the story ends

I personally prefer TES lore but I also just prefer TES gameplay and the community because of how much Souls players try to gate keep. I like the Souls games but there is only so much of "the game's main defining personality trait is its artificial difficulty" I can take after a playthrough or two to get the story.
