A cheetah running at full tilt is, for me, one of the greatest wonders of the animal world. The acceleration is almost beyond belief, and the sheer speed and agilty is dazzling. Breathtaking stuff.

Awesome footage of the Greyhound. Makes it hard to believe that I have that creature taking a nap in my house with her squeaky toy. The Greyhound looks especially fierce without the collar!

Cheetahs run like bosses, classy and elegant af

Best part is the greyhound looks like hes having a blast.

Imagine this dog become zombie.

Don't forget that Cheetahs can also maintain those speeds turning sharply. Thanks to their large thick tails counterbalancing. Their spine is much more flexible, which gives a slight increase in power to their spring.

Godzilla is the fastest animal in the world .. 100kms per step

Neither faster than me when I was supposed to clean the house but my mom comes home

I have my very own greyhound and shes so fast, shes a retired racer and i adopted her from my work. I work at a greyhound rescue taking care of these awesome animals everyday
stiimuli (12 hours ago)
As impressive as this is, even here the difference between cats and dogs is apparent. The greyhound, though fast, seems clumsy, floppin around when running,  while the cheetah seems so elegant and precise even in a chaotic situation constantly changing direction. Felids amaze me.
gatorhunter1 (14 hours ago)
The cheetah is faster than the greyhound because the cheetah needs that speed to catch dinner.

With only a little CGI this greyhound could be a major character in any hell-hound horror flick! Lovely animal though.
HadeyanUtkan (19 hours ago)
Cheetah almost faster 2x than Greyhound. So no debate for dogs on this one.

I rescued a greyhound after he retired from racing. He clocked 60mph as I drove the car next to him. He would sleep on his back on the couch with his legs up in the air. He was the best. I then moved and the apartments didn't allow dogs, so I gave him to a person with 4 other greyhounds. I miss him.

They are both such majestic animals. Having just lost our beautiful grehound Ben, this reminds me of his incredible physical ability again. Our boy was also the kindest, funiest and goofiest dog who adored all people. I am also particularly impressed with the two names of the dogs here being Sooty and Sweep.
