You can perform chain-detonator jumps by picking up a dropped detonator mid jump. I thought you would want to know, I'm still figuring it out myself. Something that's very useful for setting things up is that jumping while picking up a weapon throws it up much higher. I'd love to see a detonator chain jump set up that allows you to go much further than ever before as pyro.

After the update I couldn't sense any difference in the detonator jump and only saw the damage nerf, thus turning to other weapons with a broken heart.  Thank you for renewing my faith in one of my favorite weapons and its magical "WHY IS A PYRO HERE" powers!

Thanks Vavlie, I had no idea they had buffed the detonator jump heights and watched you do regular jumps (not self det or c-tap) that in my head were not achievable. I cannot wait to try these out.
