man Halo 4 was so confusing. Didact was speaking all this new forerunner terminology(Mantle, Ancilla, Master builder) that cortana didnt even explain(She did a poor role of being an AI this game and was on the tip of being annoying if not for my love of her in the previous games). I didnt know what Didact was talking about half the time except that he hates humans... Imagine what first timers wouldve gotten out of the story! Wasnt until last week I saw the book Halo: Cryptum at the library and after reading it substantially improved my understanding of the forerunner-Didact story line. Geez is 343i expecting us to read the novels first before the game? None of the stuff like Covenant separatists, MC's new armour, Doctor Halsey detained and becoming a war criminal were explained in the game. However if you actually understand what is actually happening and have read the Forerunner saga, Halo 4 i actually a beautiful and fantastic game (campaign) contrary to popular belief. This game is more dedicated to halo universe/lore lovers more than gameplay fans.

You forgot that Jun survived. He left with Dr. Halsey who kinda made an aperence in Halo 4 so we know she survived so Jun had to have survived too cause he flew off with her.

Have played them all but 2 & 5 and wanted a story refresher before I started 2. Listened until 3.15. Many thanks dude, perfect.

at the end of halo 3 legendary, it shows master chiefs ship get ripped in jalf and so he gets into the incubator shit and says tje ficking best line "wake me, when you need me"

If you want to catch up on the story properly get the master chief collection and read up on reach (it's completely un-playable on Xbox one backwards compatibility) then play 5. Best way to get it is to play it yourself (:
