I enjoyed reading the description. Very, very true. And good game!

The SSF mod is great, with one exception; shotguns firing buckshot are now too accurate and don't possess any spread anymore unless you are injured.

@XBOXORANGEJUICE I usually use a config like this for AI team members: SMG/Rifle, pistol/taser, 3 grenades (combo of Flashbangs and Stingers), 2 Door Wedges. The AI doesn't know how to conserve its pepper spray, and tasers are the most potent "persuaders" in the game in getting perps or civs to surrender. The Door Wedges are good to herd perps into dead ends where grenades are most effective, and at 2 per officer, 8 is a generous total. I always use the optiwand myself.

@XBOXORANGEJUICE I'm not sure about that; shotguns can be pretty useful in CQB, and with the right mods can even become a fairly accurate slug gun with a change of ammunition. If you ever saw the movie "the Way of the Gun" you can see how effectively shotguns can be used in that respect (the trainer in the movie was a former Navy SEAL, so he taught some of his expertise to the actors so they would clear rooms and fight in CQB a bit more realistically).

Just an FYI, if someone is that "stupid" to charge a person with a gun their intentions cannot be good. A person has every right to defend themselves if they fear their life or the lives of others are in danger of great bodily harm and/or death. That includes people who are armed or unarmed.

@XBOXORANGEJUICE Actually, if I use a buckshot-loaded shotgun in the unmodded game, I always carry a pistol in case one of the suspects try to take a civilian hostage. That way I can more precisely execute a headshot against the hostage-taking suspect, or still be effective if I get hit in the arms (which tends to make shotguns a huge liability).
