And the noise for all those that dont seem to understand is the tyres on the yellow truck spinning , damn some people are too thick to even realsie how thick they sound.
flubalubaful (18 minutes ago)
black truck should pay for all damage
antoncolbo (28 minutes ago)
@steveman03 Yeah, it doesn't take long for salt to work it's way through the ice... even just sitting on top of the ice so there's something for the tires to grip onto.
antoncolbo (32 minutes ago)
@LanciaTek If you have "posi-traction" / locking drive train where if one wheel starts to spin, the power is then transferred to the opposite wheel, that helps a lot as long as the other wheel is on a surface that you can get traction, or if you're going down the hill, getting one set of tires off onto the shoulder or somewhere you can get some traction, you can "brake" and not loose control. It can be extremely difficult to control once you start to slide on ice.
antoncolbo (46 minutes ago)
@elr2141979 The dark truck slid there out of control earlier. There were cars further up and down the hill that slid / stopped in odd places. Once those vehicles were stopped, the drivers wouldn't dare trying to move them... start moving and you never know where you'll end up or what you'll crash in to further down the hill.

Most the time, if your tryin to get up a ice hill and you have a spreader, you go up it backwards spreading your salt and sand for your wheels to get traction on as your doing the hill. that way you have a fresh patch to get traction on that ice....

@cdffirefighter They have double wheels at the back, making it a 6 wheeled vehicle. Also known as a Dually

Yellow Truck: "Hey there, buddy. Enjoyin' the weather up here?"
Redbikemaster (11 hours ago)
The description has a good point. Why didn't the plow driver try going backwards?
joek0617 (1 hours ago)
shuda backed up , if he's usin salt/sand mix, just back up the hill w/ the spreader going
antoncolbo (19 hours ago)
The black truck slid there a few minutes earlier while trying to get up the hill.

still faster than Danica Patrick's qualifying lap..

Ya, it's almost like somebody spread salt on the road..oo wait.
wjg4877 (3 hours ago)
Would have been nice if the person in the pickup backed into the driveway to get out of the roadway versus just sitting still, or pull forward to that cross street. Give the yellow truck some room to make headway.
CapitalgCapitals (13 hours ago)
Snow tires don't work on ice...Spikes grip ice. Especially when gravity prevails...!!
lawnboy81SMS (16 hours ago)
The black truck could have gone back down hill, and the yellow truck seemed to have been making up the hill okay so I don't see why the yellow one kept stopping, and to slow down the truck to help it from sliding when slipping down hill he could have put the plow down for added friction.
