Great tip on mounting to a 2x4 and clamping on your counter.

Thanks for the comment! I sometimes ramble but wanted to explain a lot that was foreign to me when I first started out. Awesome that you are reloading!

That's a varying answer mainly because back when I started I wasn't saving a whole lot, maybe a few cents a round (on 9mm) but now, it's hard to even find 9mm and I can reload for roughly .17-.19 cents a round. For .223 I save a TON of money.. It can be worth it depending on how often and how much you shoot. Not to mention, you have options during ammo panic buying situations..

Hi, typically yes, most of my brass I pickup from the range. Usually my own I've shot and others as well. I'll just ask them if they pickup their brass, if not do they mind if I do. I keep a little dust pan and wisk broom in my range bag and just toss it all in a plastic bag.

I've reloaded the same case now 6 times, and could probably do more, but I usually don't push it passed that. As long as there aren't any cracks you're fine, but after so many uses I end up picking up newer brass and it just kind of works itself out.

Nice set up, I ended up going with the lee turret press. I also have the frankfurt arsenal tumbler kit, gret buy for the money.

Oh yeah, it's a lot of fun, I would love to say it saves on money, which it does, but I also find reasons to shoot more :)

I stoped buying media from reloading shops. Petsmart sells it 10 lbs for like 8 bucks. Seems to be a better walnutshell then the expencive stuff. Much cheaper anyway. Its reptile bedding

I've used both Winchester and CCI for .45 ACP with similar results. I also have heard good things about Federal primers. As far as your cases though, check the primer pockets on your Federal brass cases because they use small pistol primers for their .45 ACP which is unusual to me, not a big deal just can throw a monkey wrench in your workflow..

It's pretty much the same. For .45 ACP I use Large Pistol primers, however some Federal cases use small pistol primers, and for powder I use Aliliant Unique powder but all the steps are the same.
