I just read that the cabbie was found not guilty on all charges.  At least the courts make some sensible decisions.  Congrats buddy!

He deserved it for messing with the driver and not calling the police. They had to wait till someone got hurt in order to call the police.

And another question.

To all the people siding with the cab driver. You can't do this kind of stuff in Canada. It's vigilante justice. He wasn't even justified in his actions. I hope he gets assault with a weapon and spends some time behind bars. I hope the jerks in the cab get charged accordingly for their crimes. The cabdrivers intent was clear. He circled to try and hit someone when he could have just drove away and reported the problem to the police.

Here is the full story. I saw these 3 men arguing with the cabbie. The cabbie was running backwards throwing punches with the guy he ran over and 2 other guys were running along side of him. The cabbie gets back into his car and these 3 guys are yelling at him to leave. The cabbie then drives up the street aprox 30 ft and stops at a GREEN light. Of what I heard, the drunkards didn't want to pay for the cab. That's why the driver stood there and had a fight.

The cab driver shouldn't have stayed there that long. I dont think he should be charged with all those charges. Had he come out of the car, he would have been hospitalized. Those men were very hostile to say the least

The cab driver felt invincible as well. After all, he was sitting safely inside a 1ton metal box the whole time.

Pretty stupid to jump on the taxi and kick the door like that. However the driver had multiple opportunities to leave the area and did not. Almost backed up into someone and then almost drove over 2 people. And the taxi driver was probably the only sober person. Should have recognized a bad situation and got out of there before the situation got out of control.

This is probably going to court, I think the guy who got ran over got what he deserved, he was damaging the cab driver's cab while the cab driver was trying to resolve a problem with other people. I am definitely agreeing with the cab driver's actions.

Agreed, I have no sympathy whatsoever for the guy who got run over as he brought it upon himself.

I agree 100% that people should not do that. Thats why I said in the above comment "What the guys did to the car was wrong.....".
