The real reason they deleted it was to give Padme one final scene. Dave Feloni said in an interview that season 7 wasn’t meant to be the end of the clone wars series but when they were putting the scenes together Dave realized Padme wasn’t going to get a final scene. She’d been a big part of the show and he wanted her to get a little sentimental send off. So they made the scene where Anakin talked to who via hologram and putting that scene in right before a joke scene about Padme just wouldn’t have meshed very well

The Fact that you could not even sneeze next to Padmé without Anakin giving you the most anger filled side eyes known to man, indeed Wrecker is only alive thanks to the plot
