Russia was invaded and held hostage by the mongol empire for quite some time, until it was powerful enough again to fend it off. It was one of the, if not the biggest most traumatizing wound in history to russian identity and nationality

Why didn’t you include the 1955 flag? The Soviet flags didn’t end with the 1936 version.
