This makes me realize...I guess Benny never listens to the radio. If he did, he'd have heard that the Courier was alive and it wouldn't have been such a surprise when they strolled into his casino.

Imagine a New Vegas TV show where every episode began with Mr. New Vegas giving the rundown on recent events on the show as sort of like a recap like in clone wars, and it's just a vast wide shot of the Mojave with the courier just walking around minding his/her own business as one of the many songs kicks in with a title card, I think that'd be cool.
