This is the YouTube Channel of Animator Patrick Smith. A place to watch his most recent independent animation. Patrick Smith is known for his metaphorical hand drawn short films, as well as his experimental stop motion films. His formative years were spent as a storyboard artist for Walt Disney, and animation director for MTV. Smith is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and a fellow of the New York Foundation of the Arts.

To me, the first process represents a certain idea that a society believes and teaches its children. One day, someone comes along who rejects this idea, no matter how much it is forced on him. He grows in knowledge and that knowledge surpasses even his society’s brightest teachers until he discovers ideas that disproves the ones initially believed to be true by society. Once he has true knowledge , he passes it on to the next generation
