As a female hockey fan, thank you for saying that the facts of the story are more important than hockey and the Devils. The coverup and the police closing the case early is extremely upsetting, I hope justice can finally get served.

Good job, Trey. Well said and thanks for saying more than what the teams are choosing to say before 2/5/24 - all at the direction of the league and the NHL's lawyers. The effort and simple acknowledgement is appreciated, even if there isn't more substance until charges are formally filed and made public.

What is really concerning is the police here in canada let it go unpumished and let it be covered up????

This whole thing has been mishandled from day one. The fact that it took this long to reach this point js shameful by Hockey Canada and the London ON police. The act itself assuming what happened is as described is horrific and those responsible to deserve whats going to happen. While the hockey side is the less important side im still concerned that the Devils either didnt know of potential involvement or didnt want to know. McLeod has been on the team and thats one thing but signing Foote seems Ill advised even with the potential of him being involved. As of now the teams and whatnot cant say anything because the legal process is still evolving and no one has been charged yet.

i feel like Devils Management had to have had conversations with Mikey— like, maybe even Fitzy had a super private conversation…..hoping the truth comes out, and that this gets resolved

Darn! Mikey was playing some really good hockey for the Devils the last month.

A number of comments indicate they all guilty in the court of public opinion. Whatever the outcome of subsequent proceedings, the best they can hope for is to be recognized as five guilty people who got away with something. At worst, they will be made an example of and treated harsher than any “normal” person would be. A sad outcome for all concerned.

There were 8 in that room, who are the other three? At the very least they witnessed the assault and didn’t try to help the victim in any way, and didn’t come forward to police…why do they get to stay anonymous? Even if they didn’t physically participate, they should be outed too…yeah I’m petty but they weren’t innocent and should have consequences too

So who are the other 3 guys?
