Martin Walls knows how to draw a realistic person. Its unique that he chose to portray still living characters in an animal crossing style caricature sometimes.

This isn't a motif, but I think part of the reason that TWF is so terrifying is that it's not just a horror, it's a genuine tragedy. It's not just "oh look, he killed the kids" its a terrifying story about alcoholism and its consequences destroying lives and friendships. Something about it being more "real" makes it much more frightening than FNAF. I went into BunnyFarm fully expecting Felix to be a horrible, abusive person who killed Jack and his family out of a desire to cause pain, but him being a genuinely kind man who just made a horrible mistake was infinitely better and more frightening.

The thing I kinda find funny is that Martin Walls wants the walten files to be uncomfortable to viewers instead of scary. He nails the uncomfortable part with this series!

Fun fact, "the rabbit is starving" is actually because Susan isn't dead at this point. She's paralyzed and stuck in banny, hence why 'she's in a cage' and why she says her stomach feels weird.

It's the unsettling art, it looks realistic yet cartoon in a way, and characters move in a very erratic way.

I keep seeing people mention how unnerving the eyes are, and I want to point out that I think part of what makes the eyes so disturbing is how purely unnatural they are. When you die, the eyes are usually the first thing to decay. They glaze over, they break down into fluid, and usually a mortician permanently closes the eyelids with different tools to cover it all up. In this? There's still blood in the eyes' veins. They're still staring at you. They're not supposed to be able to, but they can see you. Creepy shit.

Fun fact: Susan didnβt die instantly when she was shoved into Banny. When it said "the rabbit is starving" it literally meant she ran around trying to escape until she starved to death.

The reason its so scary for me is that it looks like they can still feel so that means they feel the pain of the cuts the broken bones the being cramped into a robot all that stuff

I personally think it's terrifying by using the uncanny valley- Martin knows how to construct realistic looking characters only to completely mangle them- it's pretty impressive

I think it works better than FNAF because of a clear difference in execution.

Despit the fact that I still love FNAF, The Walten Files doesnβt need complex lore or merch or even a movie, Itβs perfect the way it is, A horror story that works with all of these methods and even the animatronics are enough to make this story terrifying
