I just bought a '96 pathy 4 by, it does pretty well with bald 31's on stock suspension. Is yours also a unibody? I'm not finding any pre-made winch bumpers for it. Not that I could afford it, I'm just gonna fix the current problems and leave it stock for now. The hummer driver needed to carry more speed up the hill, that's a heavy rig. Can't say if I'd try it in my stock pathy.

Weight means alot, it can work with and/or against you. Knowing and experience is the same. Alot of understated Suvs as the pathfinder can out preform many other known trucks off road threw shear dynamics. Just that people only see a certain vehicle off road mean nothing, the right driver behind any capable 4x4 vehicle with a locker/traction device. The more I venture off road I see how being familiar with the trail, having good tires along with good trail instructions can determine alot.

yes, mine is unibody like yours. the only company ever to make a winch bumper for our style Pathfinder is ARB. they don't make anymore. i actually got one of the last ones made.

lol i'm not trying to excuse any of the Hummer's lack of performance. they were trail plugs all day. they had trouble on every trail, and refused to take the bypasses. it was the biggest mistake to pair up with the Hummer H2s that day

It still did better than most full size SUV would of watching the travel the rear wheels had and less sluggish traction control.

the thing that the pathfinder drive did right was kept his foot on the gas, he didnt take it off when he lost his momentum. and also just because you pay alot more for a hummer doesnt mean they are any better, its all about prefences, i know of a toyota blizzard, with no mods at all running firestone s.a.t tyres that goes 5x as far as most 4x4 that people has spent alot of money on, its about what the vehicle is built for. i also ran at's on my d21 and it went more places than mst its about skil
